The Emergency Hazard Guide can be accessed directly on your computer’s desktop. The Emergency Hazard Guide offers readers a “what-to-do” for various hazards, including how to prepare for, respond to and special considerations for different types of emergencies. The Guide also defines emergency terminology used by UConnALERT, the University’s official emergency notification system.
For Windows Computer
- Click on the “Download for Windows” button to download the .zip file.
- Double click the .zip file to open it
- Double click the .exe file to run it. Click on “More info”, “Run anyway” and “Yes” on the prompted screens.
- Contact your local IT department if you need further assistance and/or the installer (.exe) does not run. The Emergency Hazard Guide installer is built to run on most Husky PC’s by utilizing the preexisting ITS built-in admin account.

- Double click on .zip file to open it
